Reinhold Schneider is head of the research group Colour and Functional Printing at the German Institute for Textile and Fiber Research (DITF) in Denkendorf, Germany. Dr Schneider is chemist and received his PhD degree at the University of Stuttgart in 1992. His scientific work focuses on the field of textile printing, dyeing and finishing of textile materials and smart textiles. In recent years he focuses mainly on the formulation of functional inks for the digital functionalisation of textile surfaces.
