Alexandra De Raeve

Alexandra De Raeve holds a Master’s degree in Textile Engineering. She started her career in the textile industry in 1988 as Product Developer. In 1999 she took a position as a Researcher and Innovation Expert for the textile industry at HOGENT University of Applied Sciences & Arts. She is currently Head of the research centre FTILab+. Her main research areas are in the field of clothing comfort, biobased materials and textile functionalization. She has coordinated over 25 projects in both national and international frameworks with various funding and (co)-authored over 80 publications in national and international journals and conferences.
